Rosella ELLIOTT Obituary
A native of Ohio, she had been a resident of York County for 17 years. Marie was an Army wife who dedicated her life to the units in which her husband served. She did this while raising her two daughters and at the same time introduced young Army wives to the service. She received an award from President Reagan for her efforts. She was President of the Frankfurt American Red Cross from 1975 to 1977.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 59 years, Richard L. Elliott; daughters, Debra Martin of Leesburg, Va., and TammyKay Hoover of Winchester, Va.; grandchildren, Aaron Martin of Leesburg, Va., Morgan Martin of Winchester, Va., Travis Hoover of Spring, Texas, and Terrence Hoover of Winchester, Va.; great-grandchild, Logan Hoover of Spring, Texas; and brother, Robert Evans.
A celebration of Marie's life will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, at Langley Air Force Base Chapel.
Friends are encouraged to visit www.parklawn-woodfh.com to share memories and words of condolence with the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation, 6350 N. Center Drive, Suite 102, Norfolk, VA 23502.
