Alvie PALMER Obituary
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sewell and Charity Palmer; brothers Tucker, Sewell and Paul Palmer; and sisters, Charity Barron, Delores Chapman and Josephine Armstrong.
Alvie retired after serving proudly in the U.S. Army, and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. A lover of life and family, he enjoyed bowling, traveling and spending time with loved ones.
He is survived by his loving wife, Irmgard Palmer; sons, Arnold Palmer and wife Darlene, Ronald Palmer, and Frank Palmer and wife, Tatjana; daughter, Ruth Morehead and husband, Craig; six grandchildren, Christine, Andrew, Jennifer, Sean, Jessica, and Alexander; and one great-grandchild, Lily Renae.
The family will receive friends at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd, Williamsburg on Friday, Oct. 1, from noon to 1 p.m. for visitation; a service will begin at 1 p.m. followed by interment at Williamsburg Memorial Park, Williamsburg.
