Mary FORD Obituary
She was a native of Newport News, Va., and a lifelong Peninsula resident. Mary was a devoted member of Gethsemane Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur H. Ford.
Her survivors include a daughter, Melba Ford; three nieces; five nephews; several cousins and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, at Gethsemane Baptist Church, 3509 Chestnut Avenue, Newport News, with the Rev. Dr. Dwight Riddick officiating. Melba, my prayers are with you during this trying time. You know I know the grief and agony that we experience due to the loss of a mother. We were blessed to have parents who introduced us to the goodness of the Lord as children and to know that we are never alone because He is always with us.
