Rudolph BREWER Obituary

YORKTOWN - Rudolph Brewer Sr., 79, passed away peacefully Oct. 6, 2010.
One of eight boys, Rudolph was born to Julian and Mabel Brewer in Courtland, Va., on Sept. 5, 1931.
Left to cherish his memory is one elder brother, Lindberg Brewer (Marie); one son, Rudolph "Clint" Brewer Jr. (Denice); one granddaughter, Tiffany Brewer; and a host of other family and friends.
Rudolph was honorably discharged from the U.S. Marines after serving his country for 21 years. He had a special passion for motivating youth, which he displayed through various positions in his community, as well as at his church homes.
Viewing will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, at O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home and the family will be present to receive friends. A homegoing celebration will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Hampton. Interment will follow in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, Va.
