Ms. Diane was someone that I would look for at Riverside in addition to my mother. Maxcine and Ms. Diane were a great team together for many years. I am glad that I ran into her a few months ago. My prayers to the family.

I'm so saddened to learn of Diane's passing. It seems like yesterday(rather than 1975)that she took me and 6 of my classmates under her wing to guide us into the world of surgical technology !! She was so calm and laid back and thought it was hysterical that we could get so freaked out and stressed - "no biggie" she'd always say.

I'm sorry for your loss and I'm really going to miss her---

The Virginia Commonwealth State Assembly of the Association of Surgical Technologists sends condolences to the Shinault family. Diane was a very proud Surgical Technologist who spent many hours planning educational sessions for Chapter 37 of AST so that her fellow Technologists would gain knowledge and maintain their certification. She will be sorely missed.
Sincerely, Burnette S. Brown (BB)

Diane is a well respected member of the Riverside family. Last year, I was fortunate enough to work on a project with her. Her "we can do that" attitude was contagious to the entire team. The project was a success due in large part to Diane's attitude and expertise. She made me smile and lightened my load. Those who worked with her would say the same.
She will be missed.

We are greatly saddened to learn of Diane's passing.

She was a talented and dedicated member of the Riverside Health family, loved and respected by everyone who worked with her.

She always had patient care as her top priority and inspired all of us to do the same.

Her place in the journal of the outstanding care givers at Riverside Health System has been beautifully written on the first page.

Exactly where it belongs.

It is with the deepest sorrow I read of Diane's passing. Jack and Diane were my next door neighbors for many, many years and I will never forget the kindness and helpfulness they provided, especially during my Mother's illness. My deepest sympathy and love go out to you Jack and the family, and I am planning to visit you next week. An accident and illness will prevent my attendance at the services, however, please know you are in my thoughts.

Jack and Family,

I am so sorry for your loss. I saw that you called yesterday afternoon and I have let Mom know of Diane's passing, I'm sure you will be hearing from her very soon.

When my now 20 year old son was 7 years old he had to have his tonsils and adnoids removed and I was a nervous wreck. Diane promised me that everything would be ok and she would stay with him in the OR until he was asleep, she sure did put me at ease that day.
Diane was a wonderful family friend who was so caring and giving.

I will never forget how Diane always said family is forever, no matter what. Whether you see each other 1 time a month or every 6 months she always said family has each others back. She always had our back no matter what we came to her about she had it. Words can not express how much I will miss her. All the things she taught when I was younger like how to mow the grass...correctly..LOL And how she always bought me animal cookies in the little box when we went grocery shopping. She was remarkable in so many ways. She is with Granny now in heaven smiling down upon us. Singing with the angels because she is one now. I love you Diane and will miss you terribly. Love, Carol Jean

Dear Family - I remember Diane as a good friend to my mom, Sylvia Fite. They worked many years together in the Riverside operating room where they, along with Carolyn Dunaway, brightened the hospital with their cheer and laughter. Well, the girls are together again! My thoughts are with you all.
