Doris MASSEY Obituary
Married to James Massey and a resident of Newport News for more than 40 years, loving mother and devoted homemaker, Doris joins her husband and family in glory.
Doris is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Swerdlow of Gaithersburg, Md. and Rebecca Jantarasami of Owings, Md.; son, Charles Massey of Fairfax, Va.; and six grandchildren.
A longtime member of First Baptist Church of Newport News, services will be conducted by the Rev. Randy McCollum at Peninsula Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10. Interment will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends at Peninsula Funeral Home on Thursday, Sept. 9, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Aunt Doris was a loving wife to my Uncle Jimmy and together they made quite a pair!!! I am sure your parents are looking down from up high watching and waiting for the time when you all will be together again. That chain of love will never be broken.

Becky, Bonnie, and Charlie,
I am very sorry to hear about the passing of your mom. Eddie and told me that she had been sick. I remember her fondly at Edward and Vera's house. She had a wonderful sense of humor, like Vera, and it was fun to be around them both. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
