Olivia KOKOTINIS Obituary

NEWPORT NEWS - Olivia A. Kokotinis, 85, died Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010. She was the widow of Andrew Kokotinis.
A native of Karpenisi, Greece, she was a Peninsula resident for more than 40 years and worked as a seamstress.
Survivors include a sister, Anna D. Parrous of Hampton; nephews, James Parrous and Arthur Parrous of Hampton; nieces, Bessie Evanchyk of Fredericksburg, Vivian Swanson and her husband, David, of Richmond; great-nieces and nephew, Christina, Scott and Michelle Swanson of Richmond; niece, Connie Gemenis of Athens, Greece; nephews, Arthur Gemenis of Newport News and Arthur Gemenis of Athens; and other family members and friends.
A Trisagion Prayer Service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 26, at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. George Chioros officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 60 Traverse Road, Newport News, VA 23601.
