Sylvia ROWE Obituary
Connie was born in Dunn, N.C., but lived most of her life in Newport News. She attended Newport News High School and Jan Mar Beauty Academy. She was a hair stylist for 40 years, with many loving and loyal clientele.
Connie is survived by her husband of 39 years, Russell H. Rowe Jr. and their two daughters and sons-in-law, Amber and Adam Vargo and Amy and Matthew Cunningham, all of Newport News, Va.
"Rutty" and "The Girls" would like to thank all of the family and friends that shared their love and generosity in Connie's time of need…and also the staff at Virginia Oncology for their constant support and service that went above and beyond.
A memorial will be held in the sanctuary of Hilton Baptist Church, Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, at 2 p.m. Visitors will be received in the fellowship hall of the church following the service. All are welcome.
Please direct any floral arrangements to the church.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I didn't get to know her but for a short while. She was my mom's favorite cousin. I will truly miss her as I'm sure you will. Just let it be a comfort that she is no longer fighting this terrible fight and that all is now peaceful for her. Our prayers are with the family. We love & miss you Connie.

Rutty, Amber and Amy, We go back a long time and I always considered you more like family than friends. All of you mean so much to us. Connie was such a wonderful, caring and loving person and the best hair styler I ever had.I haven't found anyone to match her and I miss that. She will be missed so much. She left us to soon. She's with my mom now and they will continue to watch over us. And one day we will all be together again. Our thoughts, prayers and love are with you. God Bless!

Connie family: I'm sadden to hear about Connie and the lost for her family. I remember her coming to Towne and Country right out of beauty school. I'm glad to have known and work with Connie. She has touch many lives through co-workers and patrons.
