To the family,

I worked with Willa at Virginia Bank & Trust for many years. She was a kind and good person. May you find comfort at this difficult time knowing that many people are praying for you.

God called home an Angel on October 8, 2010. He picked a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Wilhelmina Ramey Parker was a beautiful, sweet and a kind hearted person with a style of her own. She could brighten up a room from miles away with a simple “hello”. So now God has a new Southern Bell to help keep Heaven bright and that is quite alright for now. See, she may not be here with us but she is waiting there for us.
“Mama Willa”, you will always hold a special place in our hearts. There are so many little things that we will encounter from time to time that will always make us miss you, but one thing we have and will have until we meet again is our memories of you and your love. You have always been there for us when we were sick, hurt, sad, or glad. You always somehow knew exactly what to do or say at the right times.
So Mama, we hold many memories that will stay near and dear to our hearts. Like the first time your learned that you were going to be a Grandmother. Oh you were so excited… but you were not too happy about being called a “Granny” or “Grandma” so you gave yourself a name – “Mama Willa”. We can remember the first times you held each one of your Granddaughters for the first time. The joy you held in your eyes and the love in your heart just glowed. The way you use to sing “You are my Sunshine” will forever sing our hearts. It was such a great vision. Wilhelmina Ramey – a Grandmother that loved her little ones. And as everyone knows, could always find the right sales so she could find the prettiest dresses and outfits for the girls. They were the BEST dressed girls in the state with clothes from Mama Willa. Thank you for keeping them in beautiful dresses just like any loving Grandmother would do.
We think back at the beach trips, outings to Williamsburg, visiting historic Virginia, seeing the sights at the aquarium and riding the restored antique Carousel were always favorite things to do with you. And we are glad to have been able to spend the time and do so many things with you. We were very lucky to have such a wonderful Mother and Grand-Mother that was able to spend so much time with us and enjoyed doing all those wonderful things. Mama Willa, you were one of a kind and will always be in our hearts. You may be gone home for now but one day we will be with you.

Love you Always.

To Willa's family,
My deepest sympathy is extended to all of you during this very sad time. I went to GWHS with Willa, and we had a lot of fun together. She was one great girl, and life was simpler in those days.
God's blessings upon all of you!

Dear Gilbert and all,

We want to express our sympathy on the loss of Willa to you and to her many other loved ones. We are saddened to learn this news. Willa was a good friend and neighbor to us when we moved to Seaford. She helped us to feel at home right away, and we enjoyed many hours in her company.

Please know that we are thinking of you, and that we have pleasant recollections of times together.

Sincerely,
Bill & Bobbie Brooks
