Clifton ALLEN Obituary

LANEXA - Clifton W. Allen 'C.W.' left his beloved home on Nov. 30, 2010, after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Newport News, Va., and he later moved to Los Angeles, Calif., where he owned and operated the largest minority owned Electrical Contracting Business in the state of California for more than 25 years. He returned to Virginia in 1978 and continued his Electrical Contracting Business working with the hotels and restaurants in Williamsburg, Va.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Alice Allen; brother, Wilbert Allen; sisters, Bernice Warren, Maggie Smith and Helen Perry.
He is survived by his wife, LaVonne Allen; a devoted niece, Anita Allen; sons, Clifton W. Allen Jr. of Los Angeles, Calif., Walter Todd Allen of Pomona, Calif.; daughters, Janelle Sennette and her husband, Michael of Long Beach, Calif., Karen Paige-Ford and her husband, Haile of Diamond Bar, Calif., Quinn Caldwell and her husband, Billy of Long Beach, Calif.; grandchildren, Nicolette Allen of Norfolk, Va., Nicole Price of Shreveport, La., Monique Anderson and her husband, Rodney of Los Angeles, Michael Senette Jr., Nicholas Senette, Tiffani Myles of Long Beach, Darris Allen, Kapria Allen, Kameron Allen, and Marquis Woods of Los Angeles, Jade and Marquis of Long Beach, and Prosperity Ford of Diamond Bar; one sister, Velma Lockley, Mt. Vernon, N.Y.; two sisters-in-law, Maxine Allen of Upper Montclair, N.J., Lillian Beard and her husband, Billy of Mount Joy, Pa.; two brothers-in-law, Marcellus Patterson and Barry Patterson of Hampton, Va.; several other nieces and nephews, cousins and friends, and his faithful companion, his cat, Lexus Allen.
A Memorial Service will be held at noon on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, at the Vincent Funeral Home.

I remember meeting Uncle Clifton when he would come to Hampton with his beautiful wife, to visit Uncle Charlie. He was so much fun !
