Wheeler SMITH Obituary
Wheeler had served in both the U.S. Navy and Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He loved the Chickahominy River and anything related to it.
Wheeler is survived by his wife, Vera Mae; two stepchildren, Kay Hudson (Leon), and Robin Cade (David); close friend, Gina Allen; a godson, George Allen (Kary); and a goddaughter, Gina Marie Ancarrow (Brett). Wheeler is also survived by nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, June 4, at Vincent Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, Va. Tributes may be posted at www.vincentfh.com. View and post condolences on our online guestbook at dailypress.com/guestbooks.

Hearing of Smittys' passing is a sad day for myself and several friends he made during his stint in the US Navy. Wheeler was a great friend in the late 70's and we had great fun overseas and at his parents home in Virginia water skiing etc. May God bless you my Friend, rest in peace.

sorry for your lost i had a chance to work with wheeler at pepsicola all i can say is it was a pleasure to know an meet him a wonderful person an always a good joke to tell god bless an i know he is having a good time
