Adell MORGAN Obituary
Adell was born in Campbell County, Va., to the late Willie and Lennie Franklin. She attended Campbell County Public Schools. After marriage to the late William Morgan, they moved to Pleasant Manor in 1952, and then in 1954 to Aberdeen, where she resided.
She was employed by Gloria Dress Manufacturer Company, where she retired after 25 years of service. Adell was also a licensed beautician. Adell was a member of First Baptist Church of Hampton for over 30 years. She served on the Auxiliary to Deacons, Goodwill Circle, Assistant to the office staff, member of the food service and member of the First Baptist Outreach Project for the Baptist children's home in Petersburg, Va. Adell was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and a life subscribing member of the NAACP. She was a member of the Council of Elders, Aberdeen Historic and Civic Association, Inc. Adell Morgan's life experience, wisdom and longtime contributions will have an everlasting impact on her family, friends and community.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Brown; a devoted niece, Lennie Bowser; very special nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephew; one brother-in-law, Joseph Morgan (Nettie); four sisters-in-law, Cornelius Franklin, Shirley Morgan, Beatrice Herndon, Julie Morgan; and other relatives as well as a host of friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010, from 6 to 7 p.m., at Ronald C. Perkins Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church of Hampton. on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010 at 10 a.m., with interment at Hampton Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Ronald C. My heart literally aches from the thought of not being able to talk with my Aunt anymore. However, I'm happy that she is free of pain and has restored health with God in heaven. I have no doubt that she is smiling and having a good time. I will love her ALWAYS!

Adell Morgan......a beautiful, kind, loving, sweet person. To The Morgan and Brown Family, "Ms. Adell" has been an inspiration in my Life! She was so Classy,she wore her "lipstick" even when she had no company or around the house doing chores! She loved dressing up, she should have been a "Model". She was my "Auntie" who I unoffically adopted. I Loved her Dearly as well as her Lovely Family!!

Aunt Adell as I called her, is at rest no more pain. I will remember the fond memories I had the pleasure of experiencing with her. She would always open her home and feed you; especially sweet potato pie, chicken salad and cracker while you sweat LOL. Her kindness and spirit will be missed dearly. My prayers are with my family.
