She is survived by her children, Paige and Kiyah Edwards; and a host of family and friends.
A viewing will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010, at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, at Nickelson-Cummings Funeral Chapel. Interment to follow at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk, Va.

Angel, When my brother brought you home , you look like a little girl. And every time i saw you , I looked at you as that sweet little girl. And all my memory of you will be Angel my sweet little girl.

Wow, what a loss for this world. Angel, you were truly one of a kind and a very special person. I remember you calling me on days just to ask how I was doing and make sure I was ok. I cannot believe you are gone and will continue to miss even more. God Bless your Children and I am sure there are lots of people who will make sure they are taken care of. Sleep easy my friend.

I am so sorry to hear of Angel's passing. I did not know her long, but I met Angel through the Balfour Beatty Community. She was such a delight to speak with as well as chat with through emails. Angel's personality just warmed my heart and when I did meet her I was immediately drawn to her. I will miss our talks and her warm smile. My prayers are with the family as GOD continues to heal and restore. REST IN PEACE

Rabbit - You,Kiyah and the entire family are in our prayers. Keep up with the activities your mother loved to watch you in i.e., baseball and dancing. Eventhough you won't be able to see her, believe that she will be watching down from above and enjoying every minute. Angel, I'm deeply sadden by your passing. You were a very good friend to my brother and for that I'm greatful, you help him through a trying time in his life. I had the pleasure of working with Angel for many years,she always had a smile on her face and always made all of us laugh before she left the office.To her children and family i send my deepest sympathy, she touched a lot of people in her short years and her passing has saddened all of us.Our prayers are with all of you during this time of sorrow.

I miss you so much and you and you babies are on my mind constantly. You were such as wonderful soul and a outstanding mother and friend. You were always an ear when I need to talk and a should to lean on in times of need. Please know that your time here with us was well spent and everlasting and you will never be forgotten. IM so sorry for your loss. When I coached Rabbit I could always count on Angel cheering us on and encouraging not only Rabbit but the entire team. She had an impact with her encouragement because some of the kids have stated they remember the same. For Rabbit and Kiyah know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Take comfort in knowing you ment the world to your mother and she loved you dearly. Angel will be missed by many.

Angel you were a wonderful mother and friend, I will cherish our friendship forever! I am so glad that we became friends, if there was any one that cheered louder for there kids than me it was you! Thanks for all the fun times at the Foxhill football games and at PLL baseball games. No that your babies will be loved much and taken care of, my door will always be open for them!

Angel,
From the first time I saw you, three days after you were born, until last Saturday, when I kissed your forehead, tweaked your nose, and held your hand, I loved you. When I shook your foot, I hoped with all my might that you would come back but you didn't and I have accepted this with a tremendous amount of agony. My greatest comfort is knowing that God's way is perfect and He knows what is best.
Angel, I want you to know that I will always love and cherish you. You will be in my heart forever.
Please know that I will be always be there for Paige and Kiyah. Sunday and holiday dinners will not be the same. Who's going to be my sous chef? (LOL)
During these past days, I have spent time with some of your many friends and they miss you tremendously. Each one shared such touching stories about you. I knew that you were serious about cleanliness and each friend emphasized that being neat and orderly was a priority for you! I also learned that you had become an accomplished cook---I guess you took that from me. I will always remember the first time you made chocolate chip cookies!!! (I won't elaborate but I know you are laughing!)
You left way too soon but I know that you are in a better place. Your kind and generous spirit will be felt by many forever.
