Anna SANDFORD Obituary
A native of Germany, she had been a Peninsula resident for 50 years. She retired from Customer Service in the Deli at Food Lion and later went to work as a cook and a waitress at the German CafE in Grafton.
Survivors include her husband, Robert P. Sandford Jr. of Hampton; her daughter, Jody Sandford; her son, Lee Sandford; and her granddaughter, Mercedes Sandford; all of Newport News; and three sisters in Germany.

Dear Sanford Family,
I worked with Anna for 12 years at Food Lion she was a very dear friend
and employee, I cried when I opened the paper this morning, God has taken a perfect Angel from this earth that will be missed by all that knew her, her heart was the biggest that I had ever known by a human being. I hope that with time you will find peace, I know that she is at rest.
