Anne BURKE Obituary

WILLIAMSBURG - Anne Marie Burke (nee Beasley) of Williamsburg, Va., passed away Dec. 24, 2009, surrounded by her daughter and granddaughter, and lovingly cared for by the staff and volunteers of Hospice House.
Born in Chula Vista, Calif., on Aug. 24, 1923, she grew up in Coronado and lived in the San Diego area until 1977. She and her mother relocated to Williamsburg in 1983, after the death of her husband.
Anne's professional career spans more than 50 years in the mortgage and real estate development business with the Willis Allen Company of La Jolla, Calif., and its related entities.
Anne was a loving mother to Saroj Harriet Ann; a very loving grandmother to Julian James, 40, Jonathan David, 30, and Naomi Kathryn, 28; and a dear friend and aunt to Ann Lynn Galpin.
She was preceded in death by her dear brother, James Higgins Beasley. She is survived by Elsie Louise Galpin of Phoenix, Ariz.
