Antonino GENTILE Obituary
Antonino was born in New York City to the late Bernard and Katherine Gentile. He served with distinction in the United States Army for 20 years. He then spent 13 years as postal clerk and most recently was a truck driver for J. B. Hunt Transporting Company. During his time with the Army he received numerous medals to include, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal 6th Award, National Defense Service Medal 2nd Award, NCO Professional Development Ribbon with Number 3, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon with Number 3, Southeast Asia Service Medal and Senior Aircraft Crewman Badge.
He is survived by his wife, Corrine Gentile; daughters, Eileen Knight, Yazeman Goodwin; son, Antonino M. Gentile Jr.; stepdaughter, Selena Phelps; stepson, Michael Shackelford; seven grandchildren, six stepgrandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren; and his loving canine companion, "Brandon."
A celebration of life service with military honors, officiated by the Rev. John Downs will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
