Arneathia HOLLOWAY-ARRINGTON Obituary
Arneathia accepted Christ at a young age and remained faithful to Him in every aspect of life. During her courageous years she led numerous people all over the world to the Lord, some of which had never heard the name Jesus. Her life was that of total dedication and love to her Savior. She believed, "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him."
She is survived by her five children and their spouses, Tiffani and Louis Blount III of Charlotte, N.C., Latisha and Thomas Perrine of Jacksonville, Fla., Christopher and Kisha Holloway of Jacksonville, Fla., Johnathan and Carrie Holloway of Sterling, Va., and David Holloway of Charlotte, N.C. Amongst them are 13 grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother, Alice Orie of Newport News, Va.; her three sisters and one brother, Glenda and Joseph Baines of Upper Marlboro, Md., Patricia and Marion Richburg of Davidsonville, Md., Wendy Francis of Newport News, Va., and Bernard Orie of Newport News, Va. She has numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss her fellowship as well.

It goes without saying that Auntie Nene was my "mother" during a very challenging time in my life. She never stopped loving me, praying for me, and telling me how proud she was of the woman I have become. I have so many wonderful memories that I will hold close to my heart. It's funny, I think of you so much because you loved the simple things in life, like bread pudding , Smithfield's BBQ, and handmade crafts. I am truly blessed to have had you in my life and can’t wait to see you again. I love you.

My prayers are with you as you go through the next days, weeks and months missing the presence of a wife and mother. I will also remember her unconditional love to others. She was my mentor, advisor, and friend. Every time I drive down Mercury Blvd, I will remember that was what she wanted to do the last time she was here. NeNe was a lady. She lived her life for Christ and served others. Working with her in Dickerson Courts was seeing Jesus working through her. She had such a heart for people and a love for her Savior. NeNe was a co-laborer of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and a dear friend. What a joy and priviledge to have worshipped together at Bethel Temple in Hampton, VA, and to have reached out to the lost and hurting in our adopted community, Dickerson Courts.
We learned that you never had to guess what NeNe was thinking because she had a firm yet graceful (and tactful) way of sharing her thoughts. We sure will miss this great warrior; however, we shout with joy knowing she has graduated to her "higher calling" with God.

What a friend I had in NeNe! I remember our talks in Walmart on how we love the Lord. I remember her faithful work as head of the Prayer Ministry at Bethel Temple Church. And I do remember her being faithful there as well as being a faithful student at Huntington High.
I did not graduate with NeNe but I did graduate with my other friend her sister Patricia in the class of 1970 at HHS.
NeNe is such a women of great character and intregrity. She showed loyalty and kindness to everyone she met. And she never let her loyalty and kindness get away from her. She wore them like a necklace!
NeNe will be missed from our presence but not from the presence of the Lord.
Family stay in encouraged as you remember her love for you all and the love she had in and for Christ Jesus.
