Arnold GRIFFIN Obituary

NEWPORT NEWS - Arnold Lee Griffin, 83, died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009.
He was a native of Connecticut and had been a Peninsula resident since 1999. Arnold was a retired machinist and an Army veteran having served during the Korean War. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church and was an avid bowler with Senior Fellowship Leagues before his health failed.
Survivors include his sister, Gladys Heckel of Newport News; his nieces and nephews, Curt Heckel of Newport News, Sandra Privetts of Knoxville, Tenn., Gloria May of Fishersville, Barbara Parker of Newport News, Karen Pysz of Plainville, Conn., Janice Costin of Sterling, Conn., Michelle Kaminski of Glastonbury, Conn., and David Kowalewski of New Britain, Conn.; and 19 great-nieces and nephews.
All services were private.
