Berena LEWIS Obituary
Her journey here on earth began on Oct. 28, 1913. She was one of 18 children born to the late Mary and James Belcher. Her home now is the mansion Christ has prepared for her. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leo Lewis; and all of her sisters and brothers.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory her son. Horace Lewis (Elsie) of Newport News; her daughter, Bercenia Lewis of Abelson, N.J.; her three grandchildren; her five great-grandchildren; her six great great grand-children; her sisters-in-law; her nieces, nephews and cousin,; and a host of other loving relatives and many caring friends.
A funeral service will be held at noon Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Barhamsville, with the Rev. Everett Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends will meet at the church by 11:45 a.m. on Monday. Mrs. Lewis may be viewed at the church on Monday beginning at 10 a.m., until the hour of her service. I only knew Berena for a short time. She shared a room with my mother at Regency. She was a beautiful woman and I enjoyed talking to her during my visits. May God be with her entire family.

I had the pleasure of working with berena for the past two years at Regency Healthcare. She was such a joy and had such a friendly loving smile. I will always remember her and her baby. She was so wonderful. I feel very lucky to have gotten to know her.
Rest In Peace Berena. Youll always be in my heart.
