Dear Billy, Mike and Allen,
Glenn Moschler let me know this afternoon that your dear Mom passed away. She was one of my favorite aunts, with such a sweet disposition and a ready smile. Uncle Egbert and your Mom just seemed to be made for each other. They were both such a delight to be around. My own Mother and Father thought the world of them and loved them dearly. It's sad that they are all gone. We know we will see them in a very short period of time. May God wrap His loving arms around you during this time of sorry and grief. So sorry to learn ot the death of Bernice. She was a wonderful Christian lady and a wonderful friend. Mrs. Mortimer was more than just an awesome neighbor. She was a true friend and like a grandmother to me. We both adopted each other over the years. She would have done anything for me and I would have done anything for her. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family. May God give all of you his continuous comfort and peace now and the days to come.

Bernice was a wonderful Christian lady and loved The Lord very much. She loved her family very much and was proud of each one of them. Bud and I visited her several times in her new apartment and she would tell us every time she went back over to her house she had to bring something back to her apartment. She said she had to stop because she didn't have room for it all. We talked about Egbert's old family home. She was a blessing to bud and I and she will be missed but she is home now. Praying for her family that God gives them peace and comfort during this time.

Miss Bernice was one of my favorite people. We attended the same church when we lived in Smithfield. Some of the most meaningful Bible studies I ever attended were at her home. Our thoughts and prayers are with your families.

Mike and I will surely miss Mrs. "Mort." We were close neighbors for more than 20 yrs. and still stayed in touch over the yrs. since moving. She was very special to our family. We have a lot of great memories of her. Please be assured of our continued prayers during this difficult time.
