Boksoon Melnik Obituary

WILLIAMSBURG - Boksoon Melnik went to Jesus on Thursday Oct. 21, 2009.
Bok or "Jeanie," as she was affectingly known, was a longtime resident of Williamsburg. Originally a Korean War orphan, she met and married Jack Melnik, himself a Polish World War orphan, and had a long productive life in Williamsburg. She was a member of World Outreach Worship Center, where she was a treasured member guided by Pastor Bob Collins. A trip to the Holy Land with Pastor Collins was a highlight of her life. She also was a faithful member of Pastor Chong Kim, who helped her to come to the Lord. She will be greatly missed by both churches.
She was a longtime employee of the Williamsburg Pottery Factory, where she was well known in the flower arranging aisles and as a grower in the Solar Pit. Her work ethic was second to none at the Williamsburg Pottery and she has many friends there still today.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 40 years, Jack Melnik; and dear friends, Rusty Copland, Alberta Wicks and Billy Doggett; and a host of friends from Korea.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Oct. 25, at Bucktrout of Williamsburg. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, at Bucktrout Funeral home. Interment to follow at Williamsburg Memorial Park. Bucktrout of Williamsburg is in charge of arrangements.
