Brenda VERSER Obituary
Born in Erwin, Tenn., she had resided in Newport News since 1956. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Henderson.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, William H. Verser Jr.; her son, Joseph F. Verser and her daughter, Mary E. Verser both of Newport News.
A Memorial Service celebrating her life will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, at First Baptist Church by the Rev. Dennis Adams. A reception at the church will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church Benevolent Fund, 12716 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, VA 23606. The Verser family would like to extend a special thank you to Mary Immaculate Hospice for all of their special care and kindness.

Dearest Bill and Kids, I am so sorry to here of Brenda's passing. I am sure she was a brave and courageous woman. I have alot of very fond memories of you guys, as I was growing up. Bill, Joe and Mary, We are so sorry. You have all been such good friends to us, and we will miss Brenda very much. If you want/need to talk, yell or cry, we are here for you. You have been and will be in our prayers. Serge and Sobie have been very restless, can sense something is wrong. Unbelievable! We will not forget Brenda. Mary, Bill & Joe-- I know it hurts so much to lose someone whom you love with all your heart, especially a mother.... but no one understands what it's like to experience something until they do. I know how you feel and what yall are going through. I will continue to pray for yall. Mary -You have always been a good friend to me and just know I am here for you. If you want to cry to me, or just need to break away and talk; I am here for you. It wasnt to long ago I lost my dad, and I still hurt to this day. Yall are a beautiful and supportive family, and I will always keep my memories close to my heart! Everyday is going to be tough, but understand there are people that love and care alot about You, Joe, and your dad. I will always be here for you no matter what if it's 1pm or 3am. My heart hurts so bad for you but the toughest part is actually realizing that she isnt hurting anymore, and she is watching over you. I hope you received the flowers we sent over to you. I wanted to come by, but I did call on saturday and no one answered. Call me. I love yall!
