Mrs. Campbell: We just found out about Bryan. Please accept our condolences for your loss. My crew and I (NASA-MSFC TV Services) had the pleasure of working with your husband a few years ago. Within two days of being in his presence, his spirit left an indention on our hearts. We were blessed to have had the privilege of knowing him. We all talked about our families and he spoke about you in such high regard. Our prayers and thoughts are with you. - Camille Sevier, Carver Myhand and Sarah Milligan (Huntsville, AL)

Dearest Joan,
We just learned that Bryan passed away and are devastated by the news! It's been a number of years since we last spent time with you both, each being pictures of health and vitality, so it's hard to believe that our dear brother is gone and can only imagine the suffering you are experiencing. Allow Jehovah and the friends to continue to help you through until the dawn of much happier times. Please know that we love you and are thinking about you during this terrible loss.

Joan:
I knew the
Porter family so many years too.So I was on here looking for them and saw Dear Bryan's name.Remember one day you and him stopped by after I came home from the hospital. And he ask me why were you Joan but he was Bro. Campbell. I can laugh about that now,as I lovingly call him Bryan. He will be in my memory as long as I have one.I treasured him telling me I was mom. You will not believe how many children I claim that someone else gave birth to. It bring me great joy.I will keep that picture from his service.Because that is the only one I have. After things settle down a bit, if you have one you donot mind parting with, please share it with me.And If there is anything I can do for you at any time day or night ,please do not hesitate, but call me. I always have a listening ear as you already know .Eternal LOVE.As you and I both keep Job,s words at Chapter 14:13--15 in our memory. Sister Martha P Higgs

Joan, I think he best way to honor someone is to keep their memory alive. Bryan lives in me in this moment. Bryan and I worked together doing subsonic research on the high-speed civil transport - a new supersonic aircraft envisioned to dramatically reduce the time required to fly across the Pacific. We worked many hours in the 14- by 22-Foot Subsonic Wind Tunnel testing new aeronautics ideas. Bryan was slightly younger than I and eager to learn. As we worked, we were worried together, relieved together, excited, exhausted, angry, and honored together. He was a fine man who has a bright spirit. Thanks for letting him brighten my life.

Joan, It is so easy to remember Bryan as constantly smiling and standing tall. He was able to enjoy life, work, flying, and more than anything being with you and being of service. My best wishes for you as you proceed with the journey, with the comfort that you will enjoy his smile and company again.

Dear Campbell Family, I knew Bryan from our work at NASA and am very sad to hear of his passing. He always had a smile and a friendly greeting. He also had a great sense of humor. Take comfort in God's word, especially I Thessalonians 4:13-18. I will look forward to seeing Bryan again when Christ returns. God bless you all.

I was saddened to learn of Bryan's passing. I only knew both of you through the Virginia Oncology Office where I volunteered lunches on Wednesdays. You both seemed so nice and devoted to one another. I pray God's blessings and comfort to you and your family.

HOURGLASS
Sometimes we keep fond memories tucked away
So that nothing interferes with our lives today
Sometimes we keep our memories locked inside
So that from pleasant pasts we continue to hide
But the memory of you I will keep on hand
Locked within the desert sand
Of my mental hourglass
For all good memories of my past
Each grain depicts a second or year
Or moment in life that I hold dear
So reserved for you will be a beach of space
Because memories of you I will not erase
So when days go slow or life begins to pound
I will turn my hourglass upside down
And in amongst the golden sand
Are memories of a very special man
I will not forget though what's past is passed
I will keep it all in my hourglass
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So very sorry, Joan, for all that you and Bryan endured during these last few years. Knowing of the strength and faith you both showed has been an encouragement to me. You will remain in my prayers. May Jehovah's spirit continue to be with you, the reality of the resurrection hope comfort you and the love and support of family and friends aid you to endure in the days to come.
