Carl JACKSON Obituary

WILLIAMSBURG - On the afternoon of Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, our beloved Carl Montez Jackson slipped into eternal rest in Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center.
His life began on April 1, 1988, the son of Sandra and Morris Jackson Sr., of Williamsburg, Va.
"Monte", as he was so affectionately called by his family and friends, eagerly pursued a personal relationship with the Lord and he truly valued the time he spent in studying His word. He was a 2006 graduate of Jamestown High School. After graduating he continued his education at Christopher Newport University where he majored in Business. His love for life was apparent to all who knew and love him.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his loving parents, Sandra and Morris Jackson Jr.; his sister, Janeen Jackson; his brother, Derrick Jackson; his maternal grandmother, Mary Jackson; his paternal grandparents, Dorothy and Morris Jackson Sr.; and a host of other loving relatives and many caring friends.
A homegoing service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, in Mt. Gilead Baptist Church with Bishop William Dawson and the Rev. Ronald A. Ellis officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at 127 Church Street by noon Monday. The family will receive friends and Monte may be viewed in the funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

To the Jackson family,

I was deeply saddened to read about Carl's death. I was one of his 6th grade teachers at Berkeley Middle. I will always treasure the memories of Carl in class. He was such a gentle giant. His sense of humor and kind ways brought him many friends in the classroom. I hope the memories of Carl that you treasure will help to comfort you now.

With heartfelt sympathy,

To the Jackson Family: We were deeply saddened to hear about the loss of your son. When someone you love so dearly passes away, you tend to lose a part of yourself as well. But keep in mind that although they are no longer in your site, they will forever remain in your heart.

May the love of God hold you all closely together as you deal with this loss. God Bless
