Carole Bracalente Obituary

WILLIAMSBURG - Carole Chaffin Bracalente, a 45-year resident of Williamsburg, Va., departed this life Nov. 6, 2009, after a valiant battle with cancer.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Emedio "Brac" Bracalente; her daughters, Ariana and Carla Bracalente; her granddaughter, Rebecca Baker; her niece, Linda Stiles; her sister-in-law, Kay Waldron, and niece, and nephew, Leslie Estes and Brian Waldron; and dear friends, Elizabeth Clem and Pat McIver.
Carole was a skilled and creative seamstress who spent countless hours creating beautiful clothes for her daughters and granddaughter. An avid gardener, Carole filled their yard with glorious azaleas and other perennials and annuals, a testimony to decades of care and cultivation.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, Nov. 8, at 5 p.m. at Bucktrout Funeral Home, followed by the opportunity for friends to visit with family members.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to Williamsburg Hospice & Support Care of Williamsburg, 4445 Powhatan Parkway, Williamsburg, VA 23188. I am very sorry to hear of Carole's passing.
Brac and I were roommates for a while in 1956 after we both started working at NACA.
May God bless you, Brac and help you through this difficult time.
