Charlotte COFFEN Obituary

SEAFORD - Charlotte Burnette Semprevivio Coffen died Oct. 21, 2010, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Charlotte was born June 21, 1930, in Petersburg, Va., and moved to the Peninsula at an early age. She was a graduate of Hampton High School. She spent her later years in Seaford. She was employed at Fort Eustis as a personnel clerk and later retired from U.S. Customs as an Import Specialist. She enjoyed gardening, vacationing in Nags Head with her family and spending winter months in Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Zeke Raymond Burnette and Ethel Temple Burnette; her brother, Felton Raymond Burnette; and her former husband, Actor Rudolph Semprevivo.
Mrs. Coffen is survived by her beloved husband, Frank August Coffen; daughters, Sheryl Semprevivo Hoard and Teri Semprevivo Hawthorne Lowe and husband, Bruce Wayne Lowe; grandaughters, Emily Star Hoard, Lauren Hoard Lansing, Jaime Raye Hawthorne and Hillary Lynn Hawthorne; stepson, Jason Louis Coffen and wife, Lonnell; and their sons, Jeremy Louis and Troy Aikman Coffen.
A celebration of life will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010, at their residence at 117 Dawson Crescent, Seaford, VA 23696.
The family would like to thank Kim, Jody, and staff of Bon Secours Home Care & Hospice, Dr. John Bryant and his nurse Donna, as well as many neighbors and friends for their loving care and support.

I will always remember her greeting as I walked in the door to do their biweekly clean for Maid Pro. She always had a smile on her face and was happy. I will miss her greatly.
