Daisy M. WYNN

WILLIAMSBURG - On Wednesday, April 21, 2010, God sent His Angels to Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center to bring home for eternal rest our beloved, Daisy Mae Wynn. Her life's journey began on Dec. 8, 1942, the daughter of the late Daisy P. and Joseph Wynn of Williamsburg, Va.
In her youth, she accepted Christ into her life and became a dedicated and faithful member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She served her church as a member of the Junior Choir and the Missionary Society. She retired from the Quality Inn-Colony Motel, after many years of service. She was a loving and kind person who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her blessed memories, her daughters, Janice Mitchell and Lynell W. Matthews (Willie); her son, Kelvin Wynne; her sister, Ethel Lorraine Brown; her brothers, Arthur K. Wynn Sr. and James A. Wynn (Gladys); her seven grandchildren; her great-granddaughter; her devoted friends, Shirley Pryor and Elizabeth Jones; and a host of other loving relatives and caring friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Steven Keller and Dr. Irvin D. Melvin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at 1502 Ernestine Avenue by noon on Tuesday. Ms. Wynn may be viewed from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, in the funeral home.
