Daniel Fornash Obituary
He was a lifelong Newport News resident and was a salesman for a several local auto dealerships. He was a member of Second Community Baptist Church and enjoyed growing his beard each December to play Santa Claus to the delight of many children. He loved hunting and the great outdoors.
Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Clarence A. Fornash and his brother, George S. Fornash.
He is survived by his wife, Sally West Fornash; his mother, Polly Fornash Harvey of Hampton; his three sons, Ernest Clark West of Gloucester, Andy West of Carrollton and Lee West of Bolling Green, Ky.; his daughter, Pat West of Newport News; his sisters, Cathy Wheeler of Hampton, Dawn Knight of Gloucester and Nanette Rowe of Hampton; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2009, at Weymouth Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 17, 2009, at Weymouth Funeral Home by Pastor Cliff Jordan and Pastor Carter Love. Interment will be private.

Dan was a real nice man,fun to be around. He was always joking around. He will be deeply missed. I worked with him at the cab company for the last year. I am so sorry for your loss. He's in God's hands now. May God bless your entire family ,and may your good memories of Dan comfort you
