Mrs. Lanshe; I am sorry to hear about Mr. Lanshe, I saw the obit on facebook and remember how kind and welcoming you two were to me when I was so homesick the first few months at IUP. My parents had moved 6 hours away and you let me stay with you and your family a few weekends till I adjusted to college life. My prayers are with you.

To Dan, my dearest, one of a kind brother, am happy you visited me six weeks ago - I had a chance to tell you that I loved you. I will miss you so very much - hopefully you can now be with Dad, Mother, Harold, Anne and my John.

Mrs.Daniel Lanshe: I am sorry to hear of the passing of your husband please know that he is now able to enjoy the gifts of eternal life with all the Lanshe's. I am Aunt Genevieve's son John Vogel. I remember Uncle Harold very well and enjoyed the few get togethers that the Lanshe family had. May God's peace and all the wonderful memories of your 56 years together bring you comfort and joy. God holds each of us in His hands, knowing that we can celebrate the life of Dan.

I am thankful for the opportunity to have met Dan while spending some time with part of the "Lanshe Clan" last summer. It is obvious his passing has left a large hole in the lives and hearts of many... My heart goes out to all of you. Saying good-bye is hard, but he is in a better place now. I hope all your memories of your times with Dan bring you peace and happiness until you are reunited in Heaven.

I can't say that I had the pleasure and honor of meeting Dan. However, Susan is a close friend of my wife, Heather. They say that parents are reflected in their children. If that's the case, Dan was a great man. He is certainly in heaven. My prayers are with the Lanshe family in your time of loss.

Grandpa Dan was a loving grandpa, father and husband. He loved this country and he loved George Bush! He loved to tease the many ladies (including me) in his life, he always did so with a snicker and a twinkle in his eyes. I will never forget my ninsies and when he told me that he ate pepper on EVERYTHING! I will miss you Grandpa and look forward to seeing you on the other side!
