Darlyn DILLARD Obituary

HAYES - Darlyn Mae Dillard, age 85, died Oct. 23, 2010 at Walter Reed Convalescent Center.
She was a member of Church of Christ. Darlyn was an avid reader of Christian religious material, as well as mysteries, and enjoyed the 'Left Behind' series. She also loved the game of scrabble. Darlyn was an adjuster for Southwest Life Insurance and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by daughter, Sharyl Stover and husband, Lewis; son, Michael Dillard; grandson, James Duane Stover and wife, Teresa; sister, Arlene Beckerdite and husband, Dean; brother, Franklin Ellyson and wife, Jane; dear friend and caregiver, Leona Arsene.
Memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. tonight, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment will be private in Kansas. The family will greet friends prior to the service from 6 to 7 p.m. tonight, at the funeral home.

i met darlene and daughter sheryl years ago when i worked at sentara in hampton,va. she was a lovely person and we chatted everytime.a joyous soul. i am sorry for the great loss that you all feel,will remember you in my prayers. lyn. dr micks ex secretary
