Hey cousin!

I am sitting here holding in my emotions and still in awe that you are gone away from us. I had been thinking about you the day before you passed and wanted to call you, but never acted on my thoughts. I am just lost for words right now! It is going to be hard not seeing you around. You were something like the life of the party to us all. It is hard to accept the fact that you're gone mane! You will be missed brutha, but the memories will never be forgotten.

DEAR UNCLE DAVID,

So many thoughts,
in my head.
So many things,
left unsaid.
You left that day,
without a glance.
Never knowing God,
wasn't giving you a second chance.
What was in your head,
the last moments you had.
I hope you thought happy thoughts,
and not sad.
No one can evertake your place.
Your image in my heart will never erase.
As you smile one me from up above.
My mind is still sad but my heart is filled with love.
I love you uncle David, you meant the world to me.

Your Niece,
April Wallace Taylor

To the Logan Family
I was so saddened to hear of the death of my classmate and a very dear friend. I had been sending text message to David the week prior to his death and just could not figure out why he was not responding. I suppose he was too ill to respond. My prayers and thoughts are with the entire family. Be blessed and keep smiling because David is alright now and that is what he would want of each of us.
God Bless
