Linda, I was shocked to hear of your loss. I have know you and Gerald for so many years. he always spoke so highly of you. His eyes would light up with he spoke of you. I would not go through structural wax without stopping to to talk to Gerald. He would always make you laugh and you would leave feeling better. It was funny how he would nudge you to make sure you were listening. When he moved to receiving he would deliver packages to the EDC for me and always stop for a few minutes and talk to us. I can't imagine work without him there. He will be truely missed. May you find comfort and peace in all of your memories together.

Jim and I are so sorry for your loss. We will deeply miss his humor and outgoing nature. I remember the times we went out on the boat and went to those infamous pig roasts. We really had a blast and it was largely in part to Gerald. His way of poking you in the side when telling a story, to make sure you were paying attention, was priceless. The Good Lord has a very special man with him now. We all share your loss of a man with sparkling humor and limitless generosity. I miss you and love you very much. I'll get with you when I return in July.

I knew Gerald from making deliveries at Howmet. He made coming up to the plant a new experience each day. I wish his family all the best and hope that your healing process is filled with the wonderful memories you all share of Gerald.
I did not know Gerald personally but heard about him from my husband. I know thanks to his introducing us to Lee that we saved a great deal when our Heat went out last year. Thanks Gerald for your advice and help.

Linda,
I am so sorry for your loss. Gerald will be missed by many. One of my fondest thoughts of him is, whenever he talked about you, he always glowed and called you his bride. That always made my heart happy for you.

Gerald will be missed so very much by everyone in our little neighborhood. He was a friend to everyone he met, always happy to lend a hand. He always had a smile on his face. He never hesitated to say how much he loved his wife Linda, or to talk about how proud he was of Lee and Becky and his grandsons. I hope that all the wonderful memories of what a fine man he was will bring you comfort in the days ahead. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers.

Much love,

My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I will truly miss not seeing or talking to Gerald every morning as I entered the plant through the receiving area .

Linda and Family,

My heart was touched to hear of Gerald's passing. He made me laugh often at work as I tried to return the favor. We once agreed to make sure we stop and talked when we saw each other and we did.

He was a genuine man with no agenda and today those men are of rare value. My prayers are with you and your family during this time. God brings comfort and peace to our hearts when our minds lack understanding.

Dear Linda and family,

I heard the sad and shocking news from JR Strickland, one of Gerald's buddies in Structural wax.

The last time I spoke with Gerald was like most. He was in rare form, ornery as ever and had that big grin on his face. I consider him one of many friends at Howmet that I will never forget.

I'm sure that you and the family will miss him so much, but know that he will be watching over all of us.

Dear Linda and family,

I am extremely shocked and saddened to learn of your loss.....I still cannot wrap my mind around it.

Gerald was the type of person that would give anyone the shirt off of his back to help someone in need, and he could lighten the atmosphere in any room with his mere presence and offbeat sense of humor. He was a good and decent man; and one who will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him and were touched by his kindness and and down-to-earth personality. Indeed, he was a gentle soul.

Please know that Gerald is in a better place now, suffused with a transcendent peace and tranquility, and free of mortal pain and anguish. He now resides in the Presence of the Lord, and a new star shines brightly in the evening sky as he looks down upon us from his Heavenly abode.

This world is not conclusion,
A sequel stands beyond,
Invisible, as music,
But positive, as sound.
---Emily Dickinson---

Gerald was a good friend to me in my time of need many years ago, and I will always be grateful for his assistance. We shared a lot of laughs whenever he would come by to cut wood for one of his projects, and the man was downright formidable with a cue stick in his hand! Most of all, Gerald was a friend to me, and one that I hope to see again on the other side.

Godspeed my friend, Gregg Lindeman
