Donald GWALTNEY Obituary

MATHEWS - Donald Neal Gwaltney, 68, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009 at Walter Reed Hospital in Gloucester, Va.
He was born in Roanoke, Va., and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Roanoke. He attended the National Institute of Drycleaning and served in the clothing industry for 50 years. He served as a Boy Scout leader for many years and coached Little League Football for 10 years. He taught and was president of his Sunday school class at Grace United Methodist Church in Manassas, Va.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Armond and Pauline Gwaltney. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patricia Miller Gwaltney; children, Dwayne Gwaltney and Dawn Dehnert; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home in Mathews. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight, Jan. 1, 2010, at the funeral home. A reception will follow the service at Central United Methodist Church, 121 Church Street in Mathews.

Dear Pat, Dawn and Dwayne - How sad for your entire family especially at the beginning of this New Year.
