The one thing that I remember most about my grandmother is the way that she gave of herself. While she was able, and a member of the Toano Women's Club, she over-saw the making of little stuffed quilted dogs that were distributed to sick and hurt children at the local hospitals. It seemed like there were millions of these little dogs at the house, so there's no telling how many children were blessed by her thoughfulness and kindness.
