Dorothy MOORE Obituary
Dee was a member of Charles Church Christian Life Center since 1974 when she and her family relocated here from her native state of Ohio. She served in many capacities at Christian Life Center, eventually becoming Senior Pastor in 2006. She devoted her life to God and to serving others, lovingly giving of herself to all those around her.
Survivors include her mother, Mary E. Williams; her children, C. Bradley Moore, Elizabeth L. Moore, and Sarah A. Spaulding and her husband, Larry, all of St. Louis, Mo..; a sister, JoAnn Jackson; two brothers, David and James Mertz; and a grandson, Lawrence Micah Spaulding.
A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home, with the Rev. Evans Powell officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 8:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Life Center, c/o Dee Moore memorial fund, 919 Yorktown Road, Yorktown, VA 23693.

To my cousins Bradley,Elizabeth and Sarah: My thoughts are with you in your time of suffering. I am sorry that I am unable to get away and come to Ohio while you are there. Take comfort in family. I am making a contribution in Aunt Dorothy's name to the American Cancer Society. Someday, and I pray soon, they WILL find a cure.

She was a wonderful friend and I will miss her. My only comfort at losing her is knowing the joy is experiencing in the presence of her Lord. She loved Jesus with all her heart.
