Earl MacDONALD Obituary
He was born in Poquoson, and retired from NASA where he worked as a projects engineer. He was a member of Sylvania First United Methodist Church, and was a U.S. Marine Corp. veteran of WWII.
Earl was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Elaine Robertson MacDonald; parents, Earl Clayton Sr. and Dorothy Dixon MacDonald; and daughter, Robin M. Disney.
He is survived by a daughter, Kathy MacDonald of Newport News; sons and daughters-in-law, the Rev. Wayne and Peggy MacDonald of Macon, Ga., and Michael and Dianne MacDonald of Poquoson; a sister, Beverly M. Couchman of Detroit, Mich.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation was held Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009, at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home, Sylvania, Ga. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home, Poquoson. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home by the Rev. Wayne MacDonald and the Rev. Rebecca Minor. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton, with military honors.

To the Family, Earnie and I are sorry to hear of your loss. Mac and Elaine were delightful people your loss is Heaven's gain. You may remember us best by the fact that your Grandfather Howell married Earnie's Mom Ruby.

To the family , So sorry for your loss, Mr Mac as we called hm was a sweet man and a good friend to Gary and his family, he will be sadly missed, but gone to a better place to be with our Lord.
