Edna WILLIAMS Obituary
Edna was a 1944 graduate of Huntington High School and furthered her education at Hampton Institute. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church in Newport News, Va.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 54 years, Joseph J. Williams; four sons, Howard Lloyd, Marvin Williams (Sharon), Michael Williams (Renita), and David Williams (Janet); seven grandchildren, Charlissa Shaw (Henry), Erica Williams, Stephen Williams, Michele Williams, Simone Williams, Olivia Williams and Ian Williams; one stepgrandchild, Mahlon Tibbs; and two great-grandchildren; and five step-great- grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at O. H. Smith and Son Funeral Home, 3007 Chestnut Avenue, Newport News, Va. A celebration of life will be held at noon Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, at Providence Baptist Church, 1331- 30th Street, Newport News, with the Dr. Corey Brown, officiating. Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens.
