Esther Westry Obituary

NEWPORT NEWS - Esther Evonne Westry, 67, went home to be with her Maker on Nov. 20, 2009, after a long battle with health conditions.
She leaves to cherish her memories her brothers, Freddy Harvey, Alfonso Harvey, and Addison Harvey; sisters, Mildred Cohen, Shirley Adkinson, and Dottie Bryant; her children, Catherine Wilkins, Joanne Westry, James Westry, Barbara Westry, and Tony Westry; nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; many friends and former co-workers that she worked with during her 17 years at Newport News Shipbuilding.
She was loved dearly and will be greatly missed.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009. at O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Viewing will be from 1 to 7 p.m. today, at the funeral home. View and post condolences on our online guestbook at dailypress.com/guestbooks.
