Evelyn Butts Obituary
She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Butts; her son, Ben Donald Butts; her grandson, Marc Bryant; four brothers; and four sisters.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Eunice Bryant, Connie Hunt, Verna Sanzo and her husband, Tony; one son, Ronnie Butts and his wife, Mary; her daughter-in-law, Cathy Butts; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Born in Sampson County, N.C., Evelyn spent most of her life in Hampton happily married for 39 years to the love of her life, Benjamin Butts. She spent 20 of those years working as a bus driver and cook for Buckroe Baptist Church.
Evelyn will be remembered for her sense of humor and her ability to laugh at everything.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Bert Rait. Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Butts Family,
We were neighbors from many years ago on Ford Road and I still remember all of you. I lost my mother back in 1986 and I know the pain and empty space that loosing your mother has left. May you all find comfort in knowing she is in God's hands now and in your memories. I send my deepest condolences to each of you.

Eunice and Connie- Your mom is at peace now. And God is saying "well done, my faithful servant". May you find comfort in knowing that her family is being reunited in Heaven and all the ailments she had on earth have been taken away. God Bless you both.
