She is survived by her husband, Deacon William L. Brown of 48 years; son, Dennis Brown; daughters, Rhonda Warren (Darryle), Edith Wilburn (Dominic); granddaughters, Denisha, Deja; grandson, Darryle Jr.; sister, Alice Gallop (Robert), Florence Whitehurst and Mary Hinton (Wendell); a brother, Albert Burton.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. today in Meadowbrook Memorial Garden, Suffolk.

I was saddened to hear that Evelyn had passed. I missed talking to my favorite cousin and his wife when I came home recently. Time was of a premium. I was home in Smithfield to attend Bro Brown's going home services. My prayers are with you and the family. Your Cousin

Words can not express the sorry I felt when I heard of Evelyn's passing. I know personally your family believes in God and your hearts are open to him. My you find peace in knowing Evelyn is with him. I will miss talking to her when I came home to visit. She always greeted you with a smile and definitely could hold a conversation on some topic. May God bless you all in your time of sorrow. I have said a pray for you all. Your cousin.
