Faries GRAY Obituary

TOANO - Faries Gray, 'Bozo' 'Big Red', fell asleep in death on Sunday, June 6, 2010. He resided in James City County, Va., but was formerly of Richmond, Va.
Faries was retired from the Army, in which he served 20 years, and it afforded him the opportunity of living in various places around the world. He retired from Schlitz Brewery and Stroh's Brewery.
Faries enjoyed fishing, traveling, fried chicken and seafood, and visiting his children every chance he got, but most of all he loved Jehovah God. Faries and his beloved wife Barbara took many beautiful trips together and loved watching old westerns. Faries faithfully served Jehovah for 15 years.
Faries was preceded in death by two former wives, Matilda and Claudette; one son, Ricardo Gray; one daughter, Letitia Worthington; two sisters, Gladys Brown and Sadie; three brothers, William, John and Clark Gray.
He is survived by his beloved wife Barbara Gray; six daughters Tanasja, Tanja and Alysha Gray, Uriel and Talitha Worthington, Zina Mask; three sons Peter and Faries S. Gray, Xavier Worthington; three stepsons, Ivan and Charles West Jr., Theodore Askew; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren. He is survived also by his brother, Herbert Gray; and one sister in-law, Rita Johnson ; and many other loving relatives and caring friends; and a special friend, Judge Strong.
A service will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, June 11, 2010, at Kingdom Hall, 5493 Mooretown Road, Williamsburg. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Quantico National Cemetery, Quantico, Va. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 10, 2010, from 5 to 7 p.m.
