George BROWN Obituary
A native of Sussex County, Va., he was employed as a meat cutter at Wakefield Great Value and was a formerly employed with J.C. Penney as an Interior Director and Georgia Pacific Lumber Co.
He was a member of Pocahontas Temple Baptist Church where he served as Minister of Music.
He leaves to treasure his memories, his wife, Barbara L. Brown of Wakefield; three daughters, Tammy Brown of Wakefield, Prencis Brown of Woodbridge, Va., and Tonya Brown of New Jersey; two sisters, Bessie Thornton (Lester) of Wakefield and Barbara Brown of New Jersey; two brothers, Naman Brown of Philadelphia and Webster Brown (Gwendolyn) of Dendron; stepchildren, Sylester Wynn, Russell Wynn, Aaron K. Wynn and Ronica Harris (Michael); mother-in-law, Ella Thomas of Elberon; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held noon Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, at Pochantas Temple Baptist Church with Pastor Lewis Allen, officiating. Interment will be in Booker T. Memorial Park. Viewing from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
