Though I didn't know Joey well, I will never forget being at holiday celebrations with the family and he would sometimes be there and he would inevitably joke around and talk about his cat and about computers. I sensed that he had a wry sense of humor and loved to tease you no end. We will miss you, Joey! Beth

Joey will be missed by a lot of folks. I got to konw him at Yorktown Waste Mgmt Center several years ago. We had a mutal interest in Old TV shows and Joey showed me how access and order them through the internet. He had a tender spot in his heart for wildlife. He gave treats to a buzzard, a sea gull and a racoon. The same animals(he knew by their markings) would show up every day for their treats. He had the same effect for the people using the Yorktown facility. We all are going to miss him so very, very much.

Joey will be missed by many. He was a great man with a big heart and even bigger sense of humor! I will always remember him through his wonderful unique personality and our many endless discussions about music. He was a very kind man who would always offer food if I was hungry at work, and feed the stray cats or any other animal that found its way to the recycling center. He is always in our thoughts and prayers.

I was good friends with Joey in the mid 70's when lived down the street from Joey in Williamsburg. He was one of the easiest going people I have ever come across, possessed a great sense of relating with people and I am sure that his passing is a loss for many.

I was a member of the senior corps and remember Joey well. Although he was 10 years younger than me, he mastered the bass drum, and will be remembered for his time in the senior corps. Now he joins Dallas, Talmadge and other members of the bass drum line who have marched off into the sunset.

My heartfelt sympathies go to his family. He was a great employee and friend to all who knew him. My last conversation was actually a hug on December 23 wishing him well. York County, the Department of Environmental and Development Services and particularly our recycling program will miss Joey.

To the Woolley family, I have known Joey for about 29 years since starting work at York County. Joey was always a very unique person, and he was well liked by all of us who had the pleasure of working or talking with him. He had quite a sense of humor, and always had something to say about his eclectic taste in music.
Joey will be missed here at York County, and far beyond. It won't be the same visiting the recycling center.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
