Gerald Ammons Obituary

LEBANON, TENN. - Gerald J. Ammons lost his battle with Alpha1antitrypsin Immunodeficiency Disease on Oct. 23, 2009.
He was preceded in death by both parents, Herman Richard and Betty Jean Ammons.
He is survived by three brothers, Roger Dell and wife, Jeanette, Jackie Edwin and wife, Lisa, and Samuel Clay; one sister, Julie Lynn and fiancE, John; two daughters, Ashley and Danielle; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was a member of Cullowhee Baptist Church in Cullowhee, N.C.
Per his wishes, his ashes will be scattered on the mountain in Cullowhee.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Nov. 22, 2009, at Deer Park, shelter one, in Newport News.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be made to the Alpha1antitrypsin Immunodeficiency Foundation at www.alphaone.org or via phone (800) 521-3025, in memory of Gerald. View and post condolences on our online guestbook at dailypress.com/guestbooks.

I would like to say that Uncle Gerald is going to be missed. Unfortunately, I dont have the right words but am thankful to have known him and loved him. I am just glad he can breathe now and is in a better place...
