Ginette Marble Obituary

NEWPORT NEWS - Ginette Andrea Marble, 77, died Friday, April 3, 2009, at James River Convalescent Center.
A native of France, she was a Peninsula resident for the past 47 years. She was a former Administrative Assistant for the French Government. Ginette was a devoted wife and mother and a former quilter at Providence Mennonite Church. She was adored by everyone who knew her.
Preceded in death by her husband, Howard Marble; and a sister, Yvette Guerinet, she is survived by three sons, Jimmy Marble and his wife, Gloria Brown of Virginia Beach, Gregory Marble and his wife, Kathleen Campbell-Marble of White Marsh, and Richard Marble of Newport News; her daughter, Sally Marble and her husband, Damon Horsley of Gloucester; her brother, Andre Gilbert of France; three sisters, Paulette Aurisses and Gisele Crassat, both of France, and Annie Schmitz and her husband, Dave, of Minnetonka, Minn.; five grandchildren and one great-grandson.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2009, at Weymouth Funeral Home. A graveside service will be conducted by the Rev. Ernest Godshall, retired pastor of Providence Mennonite Church, at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at Peninsula Memorial Park (Please enter using the Nettles Drive Gate).

Sandy and the rest of Ginette's family,
Your grandma/mother and I took chemo together and she was always so positive. I also knew her from the Providence quilting group.
May our "Almighty God" bless you with great strength and be merciful, loving, and shine his bright light. so that the Holy Spirit may lighten your days. You are in our prayers.

Marble Family,
I am so sorry for your loss of such a loving, loveable, adorable, admired and spiritual lady as Mrs. Ginette. I will always remember her strength while facing adversities and her love for her family. Jane and Danielle (mom's nurses) extend their condolences also.
I encourage you all to recognize the varying degrees of loss you will experience and know that this is your adjustment to the present and dramatic loss of your dear lady.
