He's survived by his wife, Jeanette Billups of Shacklefords, Va.; two daughters, the Rev. Madelyn B. Johnson of Lancaster, Va., and Latonya Billups of Shacklefords, Va.; one son, Martin T. Billups Sr. of Shacklefords, Va.; one son-in-law, the Rev. Dwight R. Johnson Sr. of Lancaster, Va.; one
daughter-in-law, Carolyn R. Billups of Shacklefords, Va.; two
grandsons, two granddaughters and one great-grandson; three sisters,
Bertana Holmes of Gloucester, Va., Margaret Billups of Baltimore, Md., Agnes Jackson ( Melvin) of Shacklefords, Va.; two brothers, John and Earl Billups of Shacklefords, Va.; one aunt, Madline Edwards of West Point, Va.; one uncle, Preston Green(Patricia) of Cologne, Va.; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2010, at the Union Prospect Baptist Church Cologne. Entombment at Windsor Gardens, Dutton. The viewing will be 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the J.K. Mr.Harry lord was a old time friend to the Watson family. I was truly shocked to here of your love one passing.I wasn't able to attend his homecoming.But I believe in my heart God had his arms open to welcome him home.Mrs.Janet Billups and Family you have the entire Watson Family deepest sympathy and love.God said everything has a season, may God and his angels watch over you Mrs.Janet and your Family during this season. I will always remember when Mom & I would come to your house to visit and it would be you, Harry Lloyd and my mother sitting around cutting up about different things that happened back in the day and I'd be cracking up. You all have wonderful memories of him to rely on. He will be missed. Keep the faith and remember that God knows your sorrow and he will never leave nor forsake you. I worked in the same department with Mr. Billups when I worked there at the mill. He was always very respectful and helpful. I also went to school with both of his brothers. I absolutely adored Harry! I am so sorry for the loss. Since I met him ten years ago my Fridays have been better since he was in them! We always teased about going dancing ~ I will dance with you in heaven Harry! Hugs and love to you (us) all!!!
