It is impossible to say the impact Hazel had on our lives -- no way to explain the way you felt when you walked in the door to her home. I loved her so much and will miss her.

Billy, Sylvia and Family,
My deepest sympathy to all of you. Being one of the nieces, I am saddened by her loss as well. She had a wonderful life and we were blessed to have had her with us for so many years. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her. I remember the good times we had together, Billy, when our family got together with yours for visits when we were children. I loved her dearly. I wish I could be there with you. Please know I am with you in spirit and you all are in my thoughts and prayers.
Love to all,

There was no one in this world, with the exception of Hazel's sister, Evelyn who was my mother, that could make a person feel more welcome and comfortable. Her home was a place filled with wonderful smells and joy, but filled mostly with love. She was so wonderful to me and my siblings growing up. Her Christmas cookies are made every year by me and my sister. Her Christmas open house parties were so wonderful. I loved pulling the string on the musical bell that hung between the kitchen and dining room. I, and the other children at the party, would pull it so much the adults would tell us to stop. She was my aunt with the candy drawer. The one who has always held a very special place in my heart. She always will have that place. My most heart felt sympathies go out to her family and friends. The world is a better place for having had her in it.
