On behalf of me and my family, I would like to thank everyone for their love, prayers and appreciation of my daddy, Henry L. McCarthy.
He was a loving, caring and soft spoken man that I loved deeply and will miss more than anyone will ever know. From as far back as a toddler living in Newport News, I would run and jump up into his arms when he would return home from work, those summer trips to Waynesboro and just kidding around the house. There were so many memories I just can't list them all. My Daddy was a hard working man and now I am blessed with having a husband that is just as hard working and an excellent provider for his family as was my father.
I am so lucky to have had him as my father. He was their for the proms, graduations, weddings and births of his grandchildren and shared in the joy that it brought to the family.
So, I say farewell to you Daddy, Pa, Granddaddy, Mac, Hank, Henny and the various names you were so affectionately known by your family, friends and coworkers.
I LOVE YOU FOREVER DADDY,
Your daughter,
Sharon (Sugar Babe)

Although, Mr McCarthy has crossed over to a place that we all want to go, it deeply saddens me to belatedly hear of it. Carry on his legacy and uplift one another. Agnes and Gary, if you ever need anything, know that I am only a telephone call away.
With Love and Heartfelt Sympathy....

Mrs. McCarthy and Family
Mr. McCarthy was a kind and gentle man. He has earned his wings and now sits by our heavenly Father. No more pain. May you find strength, comfort, and understanding through your prayers and faith in God. As you sit together may your memories bring that big McCarthy smile on the faces of all of you. Always know that I love you all and am here for you.
