Mrs.Krank, Mike, Mark and Lori. I was truly heartbroken to hear of the passing of Mr. Krank. Very few times will you ever meet someone in your lifetime that touches your heart. Mr. Krank is one man that was truly an angel and that everything he did in his lifetime turned to gold. He was very "Special" to 20 to 25 young men from 1985-1988. Those were the years of probably one of the BEST baseball teams this area has ever seen. He knew how to settle us down when we got a little angry and fired us up when the going got tough. I will never forget him coming to pick me up at the airport in Cincinnati to play in the Collegiate Summer League World Series. An hour away from the field. He will truly be missed, but he is somewhere up in heaven looking down on us and I want him to know that he was loved by all the people he ever came in contact with. Rest in Peace Mr.Krank. Holla Holla.

Dot & family,
I was so sorry to hear of Coach Krank's passing. The world has lost a great man.He left so many good memories for so many.I still live the days of Boop Shute and trying to raise money in a day to get them to Cinncinati for the World Series. What a good time we all had. Every young man on that team and their families admired Horace Krank for what he did for those ball players. I believe he was one of the most respected men in my son's life. Sorry I couldn't get to the service but my heart & prayers go out to each of you. With love Kathy Mintz

To Mrs. Krank and family: please accept my condolences on the loss of your husband and father. I feel the loss too, as he was a former boss of mine and helped sustain me through my last semester of college by allowing me to learn the tire business at HBK Tires and also as my baseball manager of the greatest team I’ve ever played on and may have come through this area, well-known as the Newport News “Boop Shute”. Led by his calm demeanor and that of our fiery coach, Matt Eshelman, they took us to the collegiate summer league World Series where we finished in 4th place in 1987. I was fortunate to have played with and against his sons Mike and Mark and also became good friends with Mike & Lori during our years at Christopher Newport. Mr. Krank was a kind and caring man and someone who’d give you the shirt off his back if you asked. You will be missed! How about one more cheer – “Holla holla holla holla Boop Shute”!

Words can't express my heartache when I heard of Krank's (as we called him) passing. I met him when my husband went to work for him years ago. He always had a smile for me and my children and was always good to my husband. He will be greatly missed. To Dorothy and family: be assured that Krank is now in a place where there are no worries or pain. You and the family will be in my prayers.

Jenny:

We are so sorry to hear of the loss of your father. I really enjoyed talking with him and getting to know him over the last few years at the oyster roasts at your home and the camping trip to Okacroke. He was such a upbeat, joyful man and had a great sense of humor. One can certainly see that he loved his family and definitely all those grandchildren and spending time with them. I am sure you will have very many wonderful memories to help fill the void. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. If you need anything, please do not hesitate to call!
