Jimmy was to me a beloved friend, confidant, shoulder to cry on with loving words like a band-aid to my broken wings. He truly listened and TRULY cared. We had spent many hours together the past few weeks. And thru the past years he became one of my dearest friends - soo many good times. To the Funaro family, please know he was an amazing man. I will miss him every day the rest of my life and I am so sorry for your loss. Jimmy, I know you are a peace now. Just rest....

Jimbo, my brother -friend...I'm waiting for the next dance, when you hold me and say "It's okay Baby Girl".always a loving, caring friend till the end.

I was very sad to hear about Jimmy, I loved spending time with your Family during middle school years and then off and on over the years. I know what a close Italian family you are and that you always had room for more "kids" and made us all feel special. I hope you know Mr. & Mrs. Funaro, Jimmy (too), Suzie, Joey and Dawnie, you have spread so many seeds of joy, that my prayer during this time is that God sends you abundant joy in return, even in the midst of this sadness.
Love and healing prayers are sent to you..

Dear Funaro Family......my prayers are with each of you during this time of tremendous loss. Jimmy was a very giving, loving, tender soul! I feel very blessed to have known him and will never forgot that man with the low center of gravity! :)

Please feel comfort in the fact that Jimmy is in a better place and at total peace with himself. JoLynn and I were with him the day he gave his heart to the Lord. It was an amazing day! I am so thankful to have that assurance that he IS wrapped in the arms of love! :)

Your precious father, son, brother, uncle will be missed. Love you our blue eyed "Cabana Boy"! :)

My condolences to the Funaro family. I had met Jim in 1980 when I worked at Stihl and I ALWAYS remembered his fun natured attitude. Over the years we lost touch but his presence on this earth made a difference in all who knew Jim. My mom(Connie Zielske) and I were always talking about Stihl since she retired and Jim always made mom laugh. Our prayers are with your family...

To the Funaro Family: My thoughts have been with each one of you this past week. Jimmy and I were close friends and roommates in the early-mid 80's. There are so many great memories from High School to rooming together to playing softball for Stihl. Justin and Taylor, I can remember how proud Jimmy was when you guys were brought into this world. He would always mention you two over the years anytime we talked. I'm thankful for the memories, his friendship and being a part of his life. Funaro family, I thank you for that.

I practically grew up with the Funaro family. Mr. and Mrs. Funaro treated me like one of their own. I have such fond memories of Joey, Suzie, and Dawn Marie, but especially Jimmy. I may have lost touch with Jimmy over the years, but always kept in touch with the Funaro's through an annual Christmas card. My heart hurts for the family. I wish I lived closer to give each of you a hug. Please know you are in my heart and in my prayers. Love to you all.

Speaking for The Don Clarks Outlaws Softball team, we will all miss the "Hammer". I , as well as the players that played with him will remember how he made us laugh and the intensity he brought to the game. I will always remember the times on and off the field with Jimmy. He was a good friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with Justin and Taylor as well as Jim, Carol, Suzanne, Joey and Dawn.
